Good Neighbourhood was inspired from SHOKU's producer event, "Beat Sessions" where the value of feedback has been translated into a digital experience. We aim to extend the community online and continue the conversations asynchronously. Get rewarded for engagement with ₱oints and Good ₫eeds to redeem in the Marketplace as well as member benefits from increasing your Rank.

₱oints is the main currency used in Good Neighbourhood where you earn through activities such as reviewing music, adding articles to the Knowledge Base or products in the Marketplace. You can spend ₱oints in the Marketplace where 100% proceeds go towards the artist vendor.

Good ₫eeds on the other hand, are awarded for activities that specifically help others. So you’ll get both ₱oints AND Good ₫eeds for things like adding to the Knowledge Base and listening and providing feedback to uploaded music.

Furthermore, Good ₫eeds are the only way to upgrade your membership rank, which comes with a range of on-and-offline benefits.

Start a discussion by uploading any kind of audio! Share a WIP (work-in-progress), start a poll to compare ideas or two versions of the same track for an "a/b test"! You could even promo an upcoming release, and offer an early listen exclusively for the Neighbourhood... get creative!

Both artists and fans can earn points by reviewing and providing feedback on all uploaded tracks. Fans get to discover, support and build meaningful relationships with their favourite artists, while artists get valuable feedback to elevate their tunes.

2-Points will be deducted from your balance when you upload a track. You can buy points to avoid a negative balance.

Provided a member has the rights over the audio at the time of uploading, they will retain all publishing rights to their music hence forth. Good Neighbourhood is a member's only platform and no access is given to the general public. Read the T&Cs for further information regarding music published on this site.

Other ways to earn Points:
- 6-Points and 4-Deeds for adding articles to the Knowledge Base to share ideas, techniques and experiences to learn from one another. Get an additional 1-Point per comment on your article, while comment authors get 1-Point too.
- 4-Points and 8-Deeds for adding products and services to the Marketplace to provide more ways for members to redeem.

Ways to spend Points:
- All members can redeem points in the Marketplace.
- 2-Points to upload a track. You can still upload audio with a zero balance, you will just drive your Points into the negatives and will take longer to save up enough for redemptions.

Members can buy and sell all sorts of products and services at the Good Hood Marketplace, including tickets to events! See more ways to use your store when adding a product.

Both digital and physical products are welcomed, and we're keen to see the kinds of services members will offer, such as mixing, mastering and creative services.

Since Points are currently not exchangeable for currency, be sure to adjust the cost of physical products you plan to sell if you'd like more than the default shipping cost of 20-₱oints. We're planning to allow split payments of Points+Cash, coming soon!

The Knowledge Base aims to be the collective mind of the community. Members are encouraged to share a wide range of topics from production techniques, all the way to observations they've had about recent events. Authors earn 6-₱oints + 4-₫eeds and an additional 1-₱oint for every comment they receive. Comment authors, also earn a point!

Besides earning 1-of-3 dope badges designed by our in-house studio Interether, you also get awarded bonus Good ₫eeds!

Only Good ₫eeds can be used to upgrade your member rank. Therefore, bonus Good ₫eeds from unlocking Badges is the quickest way to upgrade your membership so you can get IRL benefits such as discounts to our events and merch and digital benefits like 4x free pinned tracks a year for increased visibility.

Member ranks unlock digital and IRL benefits at the many events we hold through SHOKU, such as Beat Sessions (producer showcase), PotLuck (Open mic/aux jam sessions) and Beat Retreat (Artist workshop retreats). Get discounts and priority presenter status to these events just to name a few of the benefits.

Only Good ₫eeds can be used to upgrade your member rank. So be sure to work towards unlocking badges to get there faster!

You have to publish a track first before you can Pin it. Once you have uploaded and published a track, you'll see, "Pay for sticky (pinned) track" text at the bottom of your posted track. Click through and follow the prompts to securely pay with PayPal.

Each Pinned track costs $2AUD to appear at the top of the feed for 7-days. Pinned tracks will be displayed in order of payment.

You can request to add a new music category using this form. Use the contact form if you have a suggestion on how genres are currently grouped.

Unfortunately you can currently only use one or the other. We're working on being able to merge accounts together in future.
