Hey pals, it’s November and we appreciate all y’all early adopters who have joined us in testing GoodHood in its beta stage. We have some idea of what we’ve built and the only way to know if we’re on to something is by the help of the community jumping in testing it out with us!
One of the main features of the site is uploading and reviewing music, and we can already see some great tunes thrown up for others to give feedback or simply express how much you like it. So we thought it’d be a great idea to post up monthly round up of tunes in case others have missed the,. If it’s your first time hearing the tunes below, why not go in and provide a few words for the artists.
Stoked to see someone post up a track that might never make the radio. It’s easy to see the platform as another channel for promotion, but Rahms has provided an example of showcasing one’s work that’s just as valid for validation! The tune itself gives massive g-up vibes to sort out your weaponry before entering a map to slay some baddies.
2. Phameon – let’s move / let me tell you something
Two tunes generously uploaded by Phameon, one of which features Tyra, who laces the track with a hypnotising layer of vocals that compliment Phameon’s usual brand of deep yet catchy lyrics. ‘Let’s Move’ on the other hand delivers the kind of motivation to finish your own music to the same level of completeness worthy to show others – thanks making us all lift our game, Pat haha!
Laboki decided to embed this dope wip of his from Soundcloud, which is a nice reminder of all the private tunes we all have built up on that platform and perhaps GoodHood is the place to breathe some life on any forgotten tracks you may have. And the best part, no need to re-upload, private Soundcloud tunes can be embedded in GoodHood easily! The tune itself is sharp, detailed and full of interesting textures with some vocal samples to round out the vibe. Such quality from Laboki, it’s hard to believe he hasn’t released this yet!
And that’s November’s round up! Remember, every comment earns you points that you can use back in the Hood to upload your own tunes or save up to redeem in the Marketplace. We’re aso super keen to hear any suggestions/feedback on the site, just yell out in discord or use the contact form. We’ve got plans to integrate GoodHood into our IRL events so we’d love to hear how we can improve the experience for everyone!
– Big love, SHOKU squad
